Welcome to the 2026 MIDWest conference!

This year’s theme, Cheese Curds and Connections, will allow us to get a bit cheesy with friendly faces while building some new relationships. It will feature a number of professional conference sessions on some of the most pressing issues and topics in the world of college admission from professionals from across the industry.

As more details about the conference are known, we will update the MIDWest Conference website.

We look forward to welcoming you when we gather in Madison at the Concourse Hotel on May 17-19, 2026. Registration for the conference is now open. You can book your room at the Madison Concourse Hotel by calling the hotel directly at 1-800-356-8293 or using our specific event link.

Conference registration refunds will be considered through April 16. WACAC is able to, and encourages you, to transfer your registration to another member of your team if at all possible to avoid refunds. After April 16 no refunds will be issued due to planning purposes and providing an accurate headcount to the venue. Please contact admin@wacac.com if you have any questions or need assistance.

New Counselor Institute (NCI) is a great opportunity for professional development for both public and private college/university admission representatives. We will introduce the nuts and bolts of the admissions world through sessions such as

Travel Tips for Rookies on the Road
Multicultural Recruitment
Opportunities within WACAC
College Fair/High School Visit 101
...and much more!

Our goal is to welcome new admission counselors (new to 1 year of experience) to the field and provide opportunities for networking and mentorship for individuals early on in their careers. Please direct any questions to WACAC at admin@wacac.com.
