Summary: Student Aid Services is the leading provider of net price calculator technologies and services to postsecondary institutions’ enrollment and financial aid offices. We currently serve 500 campuses that help students understand their aid eligibility and how to pay for college.

The Product Design and Strategic Solutions Group is pivotal in ensuring that products and systems support the overall business objectives of the company. The incumbent will be responsible for expanding college access and completion programs, partnerships and affiliations, utilizing the company’s Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) preparation and college cost and planning report, and aid estimation competency and services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Promote SAS services and benefits and build relationships with education foundations, governmental agencies, community based organizations, research and policy groups, and professional college access and success organizations.

• Participate in the business development and implementation of strategic client accounts.

• Develop additional college access program partnerships with entities in the higher education and K12 marketplace.

• Manage college access programs and partner relationships.

• Serve as the product manager of the College Cost and Planning Report Collaborate with the marketing team to create collateral that will expand the scope and breadth of college access programs. (http://www.studentaid.com/Home2).

• Provide input regarding current policy and research in the field of student aid, college access and completion.

• Make practical recommendations on future enhancements to any of the Student Aid Services college access and completion suite of services and write technical requirements documents for implementation Create a tracking infrastructure that measures the success of the program and gather feedback from partners.

• As part of the SAS team, build and maintain internal systems in a manner that facilitates an efficient, cost-effective, and scalable delivery of products and services.

• Standardize the annual and periodic updates process and documentation necessary to keep student aid estimation platforms and College Cost and Planning Report current.

• Keep current on industry competitors and offerings, including the key functionality and service offering of net cost calculators.

• Support initiatives as introduced by management to improve department operations.
QUALIFICATIONS:

• Advanced degrees and/or a Bachelor’s and 10 years’ experience in Student Financial Aid or College Access.

• Knowledge of student aid industry and understanding of need analysis methodology.

• Knowledge federal/state/institutional awarding and packaging regulations.

• Knowledge of evaluation techniques and methods, both quantitative and qualitative.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong knowledge of computer-based applications, internet applications, Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.

• Must be very disciplined and goal driven.

• Must have strong management and project management skills.

• Professional, accountable, and creative.

• Position based in Sacramento, California or Indianapolis, Indiana and will require 30-50% travel to support partnership and client projects.
