Admissions Communication Coordinator, Manchester College

Occupational Summary: Supervised by the Director of Admissions, the Admissions Communication Coordinator will be an accomplished, prolific writer. He/she will create/edit written content (not design), help to establish communication flows, and serve to create a common voice for the Office of Admissions. The Admissions Communication Coordinator will serve as a liaison to the Office of Marketing in the planning and creation of written communications and marketing materials for print and electronic delivery.
Essential Job Functions
• Create and update written content for Admissions letters, emails, printed marketing pieces, website and social media.

o Work annually with the Director of Admissions to establish letter and email communication flows.
o Manage an annual review/update of all marketing materials
o Spearhead an active website presence that is updated multiple times per week.
o Lead a social media presence that is timely, appropriate, and compels action.

• Work closely with the Director of Admissions and the Director of Marketing to ensure a consistent voice in materials and to properly convey the Manchester brand.
• Manage student assistants in blogging and social media posting.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills
• Must take pride in work and feel responsible for it.
• Commitment to the values and aims of a private, liberal arts college
• Willingness to work hard and with a team
• Must be organized, detail-oriented, analytical, decisive, mature, versatile, personable, intuitive, innovative, and articulate
• Must have the capacity to be patient and empathetic
• Proficiency in MS Word, Access and Excel
• Hold a valid driver’s license

Work Schedule: This is a full-time, 12-month, exempt, staff position. Forty (40) to fifty (50) hours per week (8:00am-5:00pm M-F) will be the general rule with a work schedule that has to be highly flexible to also include evening hours and weekend responsibilities as necessary.
